Plato was a great greek thinker. His teacher was Socrates. All we know about Socrates is from Plato. Plato recorded speeches of Socrates made before he died. He was at the age of about 30 when his teacher died. After the death of Socrates, Plato went to Italy and returned 12 yeard later. When he returned, he set up a school called the Acadamy. Plato had tought there for 40 years! The Acadamy lasted for over 900 years after his death. Plato belived in oreder. He dissapproved of polical liberty. He thought only the wise and good should rule.
